2002 Acura NSX
2003, 2002 Acura NSX
The 2002 NSX is a showcase of firsts, and the first car to offer the patented VTEC or Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control system. VTEC gives the NSX its groundbreaking dual nature, churning out both high-end power and low-end torque. Other innovations like Programmed Fuel Injection, variable volume induction and electronic throttle control make the NSX astonishingly powerful and efficient, whether you tap into the 290-hp, 3.2-liter engine that comes with the 6-speed manual, or the 252-hp, 3.0-liter engine paired with the Sequential Sport Shift™ automatic. On a daily commute, the NSX revs and idles gracefully. On the track, either all-aluminum engine will propel the NSX to speeds over 150 miles per hour.
For handling that matches its performance potential, the 2002 NSX has an all-aluminum, all-independent double-wishbone suspension with a unique Compliance Pivot at the front for directional stability and control. Part of what separates the NSX's suspension from that of other exotics is its ability to achieve high cornering limits and superb stability without any extraordinary efforts on the part of the driver.
