Subaru Forester. Since its debut in 1997, the Subaru Forester has won no fewer than 15 major motoring awards. Considering the Forester's success it's surprising our engineers wanted to change a winning formula. However, the Subaru creed is continued improvement. It's about evolution, not revolution and listening to customers, not talking about them. With the Subaru Forester we've taken the best of the old, made some improvements then moulded everything into a new, more stylish body.

The 1997 Forester range offered interior luxury with none of the compromise. The year 2000 Forester has continued the tradition but you will definitely notice a host of improvements. We’ve redesigned the rear seat so that three people can sit comfortably, each with a headrest and a lap sash seatbelt. All four outside seating positions also have adjustable seat belts. There’s new instrumentation and seat fabric for a sportier, yet more refined look.

In most 4WDs it’s a struggle to just get in and out of the driver’s seat. There’s no such hassle with the Subaru Forester. That’s because the hip point at the front seat of 595mm and the abundant headroom allow most people to get in and out of the car without any undue effort.
